Ireland's Carbon Journey

Ireland has lagged behind the rest of Europe in the energy transition and its obligations under the Paris Climate Agreement to reduce green house gas emissions.

In July 2021, the Climate Action and Low Carbon Development Bill becomes law. All of Irish Society must now play its part in reducing the missions from all that we do.

For Irish Agriculture this is no mean task. With 137,000 farms and over 40m animals on this small island, the sector must find reductions of 12% by 2030. Thats 2 million tonnes of CO2.
